Sunflower Haven- Sunshine Farm Philippines

Sunshine Farm Philippines

I don't hate or love my job too much but sometimes I'd rather stay in our air-conditioned office than die of heat stroke. Manila is blazing hot and that is not a compliment. You'll know the heat is unbearable when even the things that supposed to love sun die from it.

Before I overreact and before you assume anything, I am talking about sunflowers.

Last weekend I went to Sunshine Farm Philippines in Tiaong, Quezon with my college friend. It is a small sunflower farm located along the highway, walking distance from Citymall, Tiaong. I rode a bus from Guadalupe bound to Lucena, and stopped by Tiaong Citymall. But you can stop by SFPH. Landmark is the coloful flags and the signage.

Entrance fee is Php 100 and you can stay until closing. If not for the heat we would've really stayed longer.

Upon entering, you'll get a ticket and a flower stamp.

The place is small and cute. Some of the sunflowers were yet to bloom especially the once in the maze area. We got there at around 2:00 PM and of course the sun is so frickin angry! That didn't stop us from taking a lot of photos which I will bombard you with.

The place is very Instagram-worthy and their staff were really nice. They smile a lot and will take your photos for you if you are alone. There are flowery frames you can use as background/design though with the colorful view, I didn't think it's necessary.

What I loved even more was the witty signages.

"Even relationships doesn't last forever, what more the sunflowers. Don't worry, they'll be back"
"It's too hot! Sorry, we aren't fresh anymore"
Even their comfort room is designed to fit the place!

They sell delicacies and potted plants. I urge you to buy them since it's for a good cause. The farm is managed and operated by persons with disabilities, as shown in the signage that I didn't had a chance to take photos of since I was too busy taking photos of myself. The proceeds from the sales, even the entrance fees will be donated to PWDs. I also didn't get to buy anything since I was broke so yeah, I urge you to support the farm.
